Definitely a bathroom full of character! I think the basket of towels really brings the whole idea together. How cute would this be for bicycle riders?

Sunken Firepit
Here's a different application for a firepit! Sink it below the ground and the surrounding edges will keep debris from flying out! Looks like the perfect place to make s'mores!
Friends Table
Since the first time I saw friends I was determined to have an eclectic type kitchen table like they did in Friends. This mismatched look is HUGE right now! Hit up yard sales, go antiquing, paint or reupholster chairs you have and get this amazing look! It is so fun, and can be really inexpensive.
Bench Made From Headboard & Footboard
What an awesome idea! Turn your old headboard and footboard into a rustic bench! A great way to give your old furniture that you can't bring yourself to get rid of a new life. You could even upholster the seat and give it a completely different look!

Bold Kitchen
This kitchen takes the bachelorette pad to the next level! I honestly can't decide whether I like this or not. I think I like the pink cabinets, but the wallpaper may be a little much. Bright colors, and bold, large scale wallpaper and textiles are making their debut. Women's fashion trends are edgy, and interior fashion is not far behind! We may be seeing more spaces similar to this very soon.
Fieldstone Bathroom
Gorgeous stone application! The fieldstone paired with the curved wall, sleek tub, beautiful windows, and chandelier is the perfect balance of rusticity and glamour. This is a space I would never want to leave!

Candle Fireplace
Love this idea for a fireplace! Many fireplaces are no longer functional, or sometimes users prefer not to use their fireplace. Filling it with candles will give the room, the same warm, romantic idea, without the mess. And the addition of the lanterns is awesome!

Mason Jar Lighting
Do you have boxes of mason jars laying around in your basement? Mason jars are great to create lighting for any space! You can use as many as you like and mix sizes together to create your one of a kind DIY chandelier. Drill a hole through the lid and add a light that will run through the base. You can use steel, wood, etc, to hang the mason jars from, whatever suits your space best!
Decanter Pendant Lights
We have been discussing lighting in our Materials class, and I could not pass up these beautiful DIY pendant lights! They are made from vintage decanters and would be wonderful over a bar and give off fantastic shadows.

Floral Pocket Door
I love this pocket door! Pocket doors can be great to block an entrance where a swinging door would get in the way. The floral pattern applied to this door add grace, elegance, and a bit of additional personality to this white space!
Accent Wall
Beautiful way to create an accent wall. Choose a matte color for the basecoat, and then paint a pattern over top in a high-gloss paint of the same color!

Brick Floor Interior
When I think brick, I think exterior applications, or interior walls. This interior brick floor is fabulous! The uneven looking, rusticated, floor adds character to this otherwise very contemporary space.
Boucherouite Rug
West Elm is carrying these beautiful rugs, known as "rag Rugs". In Morocco, Boucherouite Rugs are handcrafted from colorful scraps of fabric and yarn into vibrant decor for the floor. The entire collection was hand-picked by West Elm designers on a trip to the souks of Marrakech and are each one of a kind. These can be purchased for $449.00, however if you are artistic this could be a great DIY project!
Trampoline Swing
Very cool idea for an old trampoline! Cover springs and outer frame with foam, and create a thin mattress covering to cover the area. Finish with draping white sheets, or a more sheer fabric, and fill with big fluffy pillows! Love this idea!

Stainless Steel Countertops
Stainless steel can be useful in a kitchen, and creates a modern feel, but there are many cons as well. The pros are: it is tough, impervious to stains and high temperatures, it won't oxidize and develop a patina like other metals, and it does not need to be coated with a finish. The cons are: it shows nicks and scratches, and it needs a solid, firm underlayment or it will dent!
Exotic Woods in the Bathroom
This is a beautiful, as well as unique look for a bathroom. The sinks, bathtub, and cabinetry, are all made from exotic woods like wenge and mahongany that show off wonderful grain patterns. These products are German hand-crafted, and use a curved ship hull construction method.
Wine Cellar
Here's a unique use for glass! This wine cellar is hidden below the kitchen floor, but the use of glass allows you to view the beautiful architecture and wine without wasting any space.

Applying wallpaper to the ceiling can significantly alter a space! This is a quirky room; the bright colors and patterned ceiling gives it a more playful feel.

Dark Ceiling Beams
The drama of this space is wonderful, the dark beams are beautifully contrasted by the pure white walls. Ceiling beams are used all of the time; I think it is a great idea to stain, or paint the beams to really stand out and make the space. The wood floors are also a beautiful color and are an in-between tone that softens the harshness of the dark brown, on white.
Rustic Wood Fireplace
I love the rustic look of this fireplace! Usually when we think of fireplace we usually think stone, or marble. The wood and metal that make up with fireplace really change the feel of this room; the materials make it seems very relaxing and romantic.

Stone Bar
I thought this was very appropriate for this week since we are learning about stone! I love the stone stools in the pool; I've never seen anything like if done before. This is a space I would definitely want to hang out at during the summer.

Salvaged Materials Make Barn Doors
I love the look of barn doors, and the space that they save! These wonderful barn doors are crafted from three different materials to include: early 1900's cypress siding (with original green paint), wood from a 100-year-old barn and wrought iron fencing!
Windows Used As Shower Doors
Steel-framed, industrial-style windows can be used in place of a
typical shower door. You can use actual salvaged windows, or have the shower door custom-designed
to look like the rest of the casement windows in the house!
